Singer in Darjeeling
Ajnish studied Hindustani Classical vocal and Ghazal singing from Ustad Dayal Thakur of the Patiala Gharana in Mumbai from 1996 until 2002. He still continues to learn from the Ustad, who is a great disciple of Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Sahab. Ajnish learnt Western musical arrangement from Chaglayan Yildiz of Turkey and violin from Maren Tancke of Germany, during his days at the Sri Satya Sai Institute of Higher Learning. As a Class 11 student, he was blessed by Bhagawan Baba to sing bhajans in the mandir in Prashanti Nilayam. Over the years Ajnish has released a number of devotional albums. Some of the main ones are the Living God Series, O Sai Maa, Golden Days, Noor (Sai Ghazals), Sai Bin Raha Na Jaye, Sabka Parwardigaar, Pyare Sai Hamare, Thank You Swami (English album),Tasveer (Sai Ghazal),Yaad-e-Khuda(Islamic Hymns), Satya Narayanan Sai (2010)Birthday Album, Ramakatha(the story of Hanuman), The story of Sita (Ramakatha vol II) To date, almost 200 albums have been released. Presently, Ajnish runs a recording studio, called Matrix Sound Lab, in his hometown as well as a vocal training school assisted by his wife. He is married to Meghna, another devoted soul and a talented singer. Together, they run a Vocal training school in Darjeeling, called Gurukul Sangeet Sansthan. He has toured a number of Sai Centres around the world engaging devotees in Satsanghs, Bhajan Programs, Sai Ghazals, Bhajan singing training for youth, Ram Katha renditions, as well as introducing singers to Hindustani Classical Music through Sai Bhajans. To name a few countries, he has toured the UK, Wales, Mauritius, the Middle East and the West Indies. High School from Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School 1989-90 Masters in Life Sciences (M. Sc.) from the Sri Sathya Sai University 1996..!!
